Harvey has been the team’s lead back since JK Dobbins suffered a season-ending Lisfranc injury in Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins after being tackled via hip-drop tackle.
What Happened to RJ Harvey
RJ Harvey suffered a rib injury late in Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. The injury was serious enough to keep him sidelined for the rest of the game as he did not return back to the game following the injury. Denver held a 34-26 lead over the Packers the time of the injury.
Will RJ Harvey Play In Week 16 Vs. Jaguars?
With RJ Harvey suffering a late injury Sunday (fourth quarter) and not returning, it’s hard to determine the severity of his rib injury. Denver didn’t provide any additional updates on his injury on Monday or early Tuesday.
For what it’s worth, the Broncos did sign running back Cody Schrader yesterday off of waivers. This suggests there could be a chance that Harvey is sidelined Sunday with the team making an early running back move ahead of its big Week 16 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Harvey’s injury will be monitored closely throughout the week and it would be a big blow if he was inactive against the Jaguars this Sunday.
Denver (12-2) enters Sunday’s game as the third in the AFC while the 10-4 Jaguars hold the third seed heading into Sunday’s contest.
