The Indianapolis Colts find themselves in a precarious situation regarding their quarterbacks: Daniel Jones and Riley Leonard. Jones tore his Achilles tendon on Sunday, and Leonard, who stepped in as the backup, is now reportedly dealing with a knee ligament injury that leaves his availability for Week 15 uncertain. Moreover, their third-string quarterback, Anthony Richardson Sr., is also on injured reserve.
NFL insider Adam Schefter shared the latest injury update on Leonard. He said the quarterback is week-to-week as he suffered a strained knee ligament.

In the wake of this quarterback injury crisis, the Colts are reportedly turning to a surprise candidate: Philip Rivers. The 44-year-old is a former Pro Bowler and longtime NFL veteran. He is set to work out for Indianapolis this week as the club explores every option to salvage its playoff push.
What Coach Steichen Said About Colts QB Injury Crisis?
Colts head coach Shane Steichen will be out of depth in the quarterback room for the Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
Talking about Daniel Jones’ injury, Steichen said the injury “is not looking good.”
“I don’t have the full details on it,” Steichen said. “We’ll get more clarity on that.”
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor called Jones’s departure “a gut-punch,” acknowledging he has been “always there” for the team. He added:
“That was definitely a gut punch,” Taylor said. “We’ve got to catch ourselves. You’ve got to find some way, somehow, to catch yourself. You’re going into a free-fall, whatever it takes, individually and collectively, to put your foot down … to say we’re not going to continue to let this snowball.”
Steichen said the front office and GM Chris Ballard are “working through” the options now that the QB depth chart is decimated.
“(GM) Chris (Ballard) and his staff are working through that right now,” Steichen said.
Steichen has asked the front office to be ready for any emergency at the quarterback situation. In case Leonard doesn’t get ready in time and Rivers don’t pan out, the Colts are in a bad spot.
