New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has been the team’s go-to back since the team drafted him in the fourth-round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Stevenson even earned himself a nice four-year $36 million contract extension at prior to the start of the 2024 season. However, he has taken a dip in his production since the extension, but is still the Patriots starting running back that gets more than 70% of snaps on offense.
As the Patriots prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons, this weekend, they could be in jeopardy of being without their leading rusher.
What Happened to Rhamondre Stevenson?
Rhamondre Stevenson has been a healthy running back for the New England Patriots this season. He’s played in all seven games and hasn’t been to have any injuries.
However, as the Patriots are a few days away from their Week 9 matchup, Stevenson popped up on the injury report on both Wednesday and Thursday, and has been sidelined in practice with an apparent toe injury.

Is Rhamondre Stevenson Playing In Week 9?
As of right now, it seems like there is a real chance that Rhamondre Stevenson misses Sunday’s game.
Sometimes teams will keep a player out of a Wednesday practice for various reasons- rest, a player is dealing with a minor injury, or other unknown reasons. The fact that Stevenson was sidelined again on Thursday is a bit concerning for his status. Whether he is available or not in tomorrow’s practice should provide more of a sign of his chances to play on Sunday.
