Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles have looked every bit like Super Bowl contenders this season. With six wins and just two losses, they sit comfortably atop the NFC East and continue to dominate opponents on both sides of the ball.
Interestingly, his influence seems to extend beyond football. Another powerhouse team, Real Madrid, has been making headlines in its own sport, and one of its biggest stars just gave a subtle nod to Hurts following a major victory.
Aurelien Tchouameni, one of Real Madrid’s key midfielders, posted a series of photos from Saturday’s El Clasico win over Barcelona. Alongside them, he added a video of Hurts from a press conference where the quarterback confidently said:
“So that’s what y’all wanted to see, huh?”

The post came shortly after Real Madrid’s thrilling 2-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring midway through the first half before Jude Bellingham added a second, while Barcelona managed one through Fermín Lopez.
It was a statement win that kept Real Madrid atop La Liga and reinforced their dominance this season. For the $116 million worth superstar, the post felt symbolic. Hurts’ clip perfectly captured the swagger and satisfaction of performing under pressure, something Madrid displayed throughout the high-stakes rivalry clash.
Hurts, meanwhile, had his own big showing in Week 8 as the Eagles crushed the New York Giants 38-20. He threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground, showing complete command of the offense in a near-flawless outing.
Jalen Hurts is In the MVP Race
Hurts has been a top contender for the 2025 NFL MVP award, and his consistency through eight games backs that up. He has thrown for 1,677 yards with 15 touchdowns and only one interception, completing over 70 percent of his passes.
What makes Hurts’ case stronger is his efficiency and leadership in clutch moments. He’s guided the Eagles to multiple statement wins, including dominant divisional performances.
His ability to adapt mid-game, avoid turnovers, and keep the offense balanced has placed him alongside names like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in the MVP conversation.
The Eagles will have a bye week, which will give Hurts more time to be fully prepared for some tough matchups ahead. They will be back on November 10th against the Packers. A few more great performances will truly make Hurts a strong contender.
