Each week, new players rise on the fantasy football waiver wire as a result from stand-out performances, players getting injured, or players on bye weeks. Whatever it is, players get dropped and added each week in fantasy football.
Some positions, such as kickers and defenses, sometimes even tight ends, get added and dropped almost weekly. Other positions like quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, may not get as much transactions as the other positions, but still see a lot of movement.
As we head into Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season, let’s look at three must-add running backs on the waiver wire.
Three Best RB Waiver Wire Adds Heading Into Week 7
Kimani Vidal
With Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris both out for some time, Kimani Vidal made the most of his first career NFL start. In Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, Vidal carried the ball 18 times for 124 yards. He also had a receiving touchdown and had one of the most productive games over the weekend for any running back.
Vidal should get the bulk of the work in the backfield for the LA Chargers over Hassan Haskins, but Jim Harbaugh may look to split the two until Hampton returns.
Bam Knight
In the Arizona Cardinals‘ first game without both running backs James Conner and Trey Benson, they gave Michael Carter the bulk of the work, giving him 18 carries to Bam Knight’s four carries.
Last week, Knight had a team-high 11 carries, which was two more than Carter and had 54 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. With Knight scoring a touchdown in each of the last two games, he’s worth an add in fantasy.
Kendre Miller
It seems like almost any minute now the New Orleans Saints could trade away star running back, Alvin Kamara, who has been rumored to be a hot trade candidate. If he is traded, Kendre Miller will take over as New Orleans’ starting running back.
Even as Kamara’s backup, Miller has been fed the ball this season, totaling 51 touches and has gained over 200 yards from scrimmage. He’s had seven-plus carries in each of the last four games.
