Ravens Head Coach Candidates: Top 5 Potential Replacements For John Harbaugh Ft. Kevin Stefanski

The Baltimore Ravens narrowly missed out on a playoff berth after finishing their 2025 regular season with a loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This loss marked John Harbaugh’s last game as the Raven’s head coach, ending his 2025 campaign having compiled an overall record of 8-9.

With Coach Harbaugh’s impressive NFL resume, which includes being the Ravens’ head coach since 2008 and having also won the Super Bowl with the Baltimore franchise in 2012, it won’t be easy for the Ravens to find someone of his stature, but a few potential options have opened up who could come in place of Harbaugh come next season.

Top 5 Potential Replacements For John Harbaugh

    1. Kevin Stefanski

After the Browns failed to reach the playoffs this season with an overall record of 5-12, Kevin Stefanski was relieved of his duties after serving the franchise as their head coach for six seasons.

The 43-year-old, who has also won the AP Coach of the Year award twice before, could definitely be someone that the Ravens could look at as Harbaugh’s replacement.

    2. Todd Monken (Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator)

Historically, there have been many instances where NFL teams, after firing their head coaches, have looked internally to look for replacements. This very well could be how the Ravens approach their hunt for Harbaugh’s replacement by looking at their offensive coordinator, Todd Monken.

With offensive players like DeAndre Hopkins, Derrick Henry, Tyler Linderbaum, and Zay Flowers all flourishing this season with a high offensive rating under the stewardship of Monken, it won’t be a surprise if he takes charge of the overall on-field functioning of the team ahead of the next season.

    3. Kliff Kingsbury

Another offensive coordinator who has emerged as a potential name to replace Harbaugh at the Ravens is the Washington Commanders’ offensive coordinator, Kliff Kingsbury.

With Kingsbury recently parting ways with the Washington-based franchise, the former Cardinals’ head coach has an overall record of 28-37-1 with the Arizona-based franchise.

    4. Jesse Minter

The Ravens could also potentially look at a familiar name to fill in their head coach void left by Harbaugh’s departure.

Los Angeles Rams’ defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, who also worked his way up to becoming Baltimore’s defensive backs coach in 2020 after joining them in 2017, is seen as a hot prospect for a lot of NFL teams searching for a head coach, and it won’t come as a surprise if the Ravens try and sign him ahead of the next season.

    5. Brian Flores

Minnesota Vikings’ defensive coordinator Brian Flores is another candidate who could replace Harbaugh at the Ravens.

Across six seasons as either a head coach or defensive coordinator, Flores has produced five top-half scoring defenses, including three top-10 finishes.

The 44-year-old’s stint as the Miami Dolphins’ head coach from 2019 to 2021 could give the Ravens the much-needed experience they’re looking for in their next head coach.
