Is Rashee Rice Suspended? What The Chiefs Said After Domestic Violence Allegations On Star WR

Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Rashee Rice is involved in a confusing situation, which includes an alleged instance of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, and the mother of his children, Dacoda Nichole Jones. On Wednesday afternoon, Jones published a series of pictures to her Instagram account showing a series of bruises and wounds while denouncing years of domestic abuse.

While she didn’t outright name her aggressor, she did indicate the perpetrator was the father of her children. On Wednesday night, the Kansas City Chiefs released a statement on the matter, saying they are aware of the allegations and have no comment on the matter:

“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time.”

Jones has yet to file a police report, and neither the team nor the NFL has issued a suspension for the wide receiver. This isn’t Rashee Rice’s first brush with legal troubles, as he was arrested for 30 days and sentenced to five years’ probation in July 2025, for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas in the 2024 offseason.

Dacoda Nichole Jones’ Message On Instagram To Her Aggressor

Dacoda Nichole Jones also left a message for her aggressor on her posts on social media. Here’s what she had to say, describing a pattern of long-term aggression:

“I’m so tired of keeping quiet I’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve been through enough in the span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH! I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and it’s been nothing but hell,” Jones wrote.

“He literally left us in Kansas and I had to beg him to send money so that I could drive to Texas with my kids and all our stuff. We have an agreement because of everything he’s put me through and he still doesn’t follow it. He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason. I’ve known this man for YEARS. He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year. He does the bare minimum and I have to beg for that. I’ve protected his image too long and I’m done doing that. It’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself,” she added.

This is a developing story, and hence there’s an important lack of details. However, everything seems to point to Rice being allegedly involved in a serious legal situation.
