“Diabolical Work By Vegas”: NFL Fans React as Puka Nacua Briefly Returns From Mystery Injury Amid Rams vs Ravens Matchup

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua went down with an apparent leg injury in the second quarter after trying to catch a pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford in Monday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Nacua first tried walking on his own before calling for assistance. Trainers took him to the locker room for further evaluation. However, just before halftime, Nacua was seen on the sidelines wearing a helmet.

This had some fans thinking that the injury was shown as if it were season-ending, but it now appears not to be as severe. One fan called out Vegas oddsmakers, saying:

“They got Puka Nacua out there limping on the field just to chalk everyone’s bets. Absolutely diabolical work by Vegas.”

Several fans called out the betting sites.

“Yea they are just doing that so FanDuel won’t have to pay. They will let him play one snap and during out 😡😡😡” one fan reacted.

“Bro fakes an injury every other week,” another fan wrote.

“The really fun part about Puka Nacua is that unless he’s literally got a limb turned in a different direction than it’s supposed to, you can almost guarantee he’s gonna come back in lmao” one fan added.

“I mean he didn’t play a snap the whole drive after halftime , doesnt look like he’s returning man,” one fan said.

“@CaesarsHelp void Puka Nacua if he doesn’t return pls,” one fan wants Nacua’s points not to be considered.

What happened to Puke Nacua in the first place?

In the second quarter, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford made a bad throw in the endzone that would have landed in the hands of Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey if not for Puka Nacua. The Rams receiver made a leaping attempt to deny the Ravens an interception. However, in the process, he fell hard after tipping the ball away to prevent an interception.

Before the injury, Nacua caught two passes for 28 yards. He was targeted three times. In his first five games, Nacua accumulated 52 catches for 588 yards and two touchdowns. He’s on pace to challenge the league’s single-season receptions record.

It remains to be seen if the injury in the second quarter lands him on injured reserve.
