Now, Diggs is facing strangulation and assault charges. This has been a disappointing turnaround for the veteran wide receiver. As per ESPN, Diggs is facing a felony charge of strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of assault.
The alleged incident happened on December 2. The Patriots organization released a statement, claiming that they are aware of the charges being pressed against Diggs and that the WR had “categorically” denied the allegations.
The franchise also stated that they support their player while they continue to gather more information on the alleged incident and his involvement. Fans, on the other hand, aren’t as supportive of him.
