Patriots HC Mike Vrabel Breaks Silence on Stefon Diggs’ Status With Team Amid Assault Charges and Paternity Lawsuit

The New England Patriots, ahead of their Week 18 NFL encounter against the Miami Dolphins, are at risk of losing one of their star players due to a number of off-field reasons.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been in turmoil lately on numerous infamous grounds. After being charged with misdemeanor and felony for an alleged incident with a female chef, which allegedly took place earlier in December, the player has been slapped with a paternity lawsuit.

Influencer Aileen Lopera, after naming Diggs in a recent lawsuit, has claimed that Diggs is the father of her unborn baby. These allegations have prompted the Patriots’ head coach, Mike Vrabel, to address the off-field claims pertaining to Diggs and his future with the Massachusetts-based franchise.

During his press conference ahead of his side’s Sunday game against the Dolphins, Vrabel acknowledged the grave nature of the allegations while indirectly extending support to Stefon Diggs and Christian Barmore, with the former being accused of domestic assault as well.

Vrabel further revealed the status of the participation of both players against the Dolphins, highlighting that there have been no updates that would prevent them from playing.

“We understand there are allegations. We also want to support each and every player, each and every coach”, Vrabel stated during the press conference (5:46).

“Haven’t heard anything that would keep either player (Diggs & Barmore) from the game”, he elaborated (1:50).

Offset, amid ongoing divorce proceedings with his ex-wife and Stefon Diggs’ girlfriend Cardi B, captioned his story, writing:

    “I won.”

Offset’s Instagram account has since been deactivated, with this story supposedly being one of his last activities.
