NFL Teams On Bye Week 14: Full List Of Teams Missing In Action This Week Ft. New England Patriots

During Week 13, all NFL teams played as it was the Thanksgiving Day weekend, meaning no team went on a bye-week break. However, as the league heads to Week 14, the playoff scramble continues. Several teams will be getting byes and take a break shortly before the playoffs begin, or at least sit and wait to see if they make it.

Bye weeks usually get teams a chance to rest up their players and staff, as well as give their injured players more time to heal and maybe return. This can be very welcome around the middle of the season, but on the tail end, it could throw some teams off their momentum. For Week 14, the last week of the season where teams can get a bye, there are four teams expected to take a break, and here they are:

4 Teams With A Bye Week For Week 14

    Carolina Panthers

Fresh off their win over the LA Rams, the Carolina Panthers get a much-deserved break ahead of the final three weeks as they seek a spot in the playoffs. No team will be able to get a bye week after this, and while Carolina’s momentum has been blunted a bit, it would still be a welcome one, especially with the scramble for a playoff spot.

    San Francisco 49ers

The Niners needed a bye-week break around midway through the season, as the team was pretty banged up with a ton of injured players. They still have a ton of injuries, and their week 14 bye is a welcome one as some banged up players finally get a chance to breathe and relax a bit before continuing their pursuit of a playoff spot.

    New York Giants

The Giants may officially be out of contention for the NFL playoffs, but this does not mean that getting a break late during such a challenging season would not be welcome. The team has faced plenty of challenges, from injuries to having a very disappointing season, so if anything, a week off would be nice, as they are basically playing for nothing anymore.

    New England Patriots

The Patriots are more than likely making it to the playoffs, and while they do see their momentum slowed down for Week 14, Drake Maye and crew would need this one as they head to the big dance.
