The explosion of interest in NFL Week 3 extends to Survivor leagues where players have to pick teams that win the week’s game or be eliminated. So who’s the safest pick to nab a win in NFL Week 3? Here’s a rundown of the best picks for NFL Survivor leagues.
Safest NFL Survivor Picks for Week 3

Green Bay Packers
First, the elephant in the room– making a nice Survivor league pick is as much about considering the opponent as it is the team chosen. Here, the Packers face the Cleveland Browns. The eternally woeful Browns. The offensively punchless Browns. The 0-2 Browns.
Then, there’s the Packers themselves. They’re 2-0 and have given up just 31 total points in those two games. Jordan Love gives them an elite offensive playmaker and even in Cleveland, the Packers have to be a massive favorite.
Seattle Seahawks
Again, consider the opponent here. The 0-2 Saints don’t seem like the kind of team that’s coming into Seattle and nabbing a win. Neither does Saints QB Spencer Rattler. Yes, Seattle is just 1-1, but their home field edge is one of the NFL’s most notable ones. Seattle is a very solid pick, and would be well worth nabbing in any Survivor league.
Kansas City Chiefs
Yes, the Chiefs are 0-2, it’s true. So are the Giants, and New York has managed to lose in two very different ways. In week 1, the offense just didn’t show up. Six points is a loss. In week 2, the offense showed up and the defense gave up 40 points to the Cowboys. It seems like whatever Kansas City brings to the table, it should be enough to hold off the Giants.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay is 2-0 and playing at home. The 0-2 New York Jets also aren’t much of an opposing threat. The Jets were wiped off the field by Buffalo last week and QB Justin Fields will be out of action this week due to concussion issues. Meanwhile, Baker Mayfield has been wonderfully steady for the Bucs. Yes, both of Tampa’s wins have been close wins, but that trend probably comes to an end in Week 3. The Bucs are a solid Week 3 play.
Baltimore Ravens
This one doesn’t really reflect on the opponent, as the Lions are a competent if inconsistent team. But the Ravens had scored 41 and 40 points in their first two games. Any team with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry can basically choose the exact mode of dissecting the opposition. The Ravens seem like a safe pick… maybe not as safe as the teams playing awful opponents, but still worth consideration.
Indianapolis Colts
On the other hand, this pick comes less out of deep and abiding belief in the Colts than scepticism about Tennessee. Indy is 2-0 and while Daniel Jones won’t be mistaken for Joe Namath, the Colts have scored 33 and 29 points in their two games so far. The Titans have scored 31 points in their two losses combined. This Titans team, even at home, is one of the worst teams in the league, which makes the Colts a reasonable play.
