Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin, on a podcast appearance, recalled his time at New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson’s house on the occasion of Thanksgiving.
Boykin revealed although he was invited and well catered for Thanksgiving at Wilson’s house, his experience at the celebratory occasion was strange.
Boykin pointed out how a lot of Russell Wilson’s family members were missing at the Thanksgiving dinner whilst also talking about how different that is culturally, given Boykin’s traditional Black family background.
Boykin also stated if he had the same kind of money as Russell Wilson and had not invited and flown his entire family over, his entire family would talk bad about him.
He also referenced Wilson’s tie-up with Alaska Airlines whilst talking about flying out family members.
“I come from a traditional, country-a** black family. If I got as much money as Russell Wilson, my whole family would talk bad about me if I ain’t fly everybody out for Thanksgiving…and I’m sponsored by an airline,” Boykin stated (0:08).

Boykin also acknowledged that maybe Russell Wilson was not close to his family, but the idea of his mother and sisters not being a part of the celebration baffled him.
He further called the entire experience “weird” whilst talking about how his family would’ve prepared food for Thanksgiving if he were in Wilson’s shoes.
“It’s still weird to me…(If its) Thanksgiving, My family gonna do the food. If you’re the one with the money, we’re coming to your house,” he further elaborated (0:36).
As per Trevone Boykin’s account, the Thanksgiving dinner consisted of Russell Wilson, his wife Ciara, their kids, himself, Baby Future, the chef, and three dogs.

He and Ciara are also often involved in philanthropy, having donated $3 million to children’s hospitals via their Why Not You Foundation for the holidays.
On the field, Russell Wilson has been demoted to being the third-string quarterback behind starter Jaxson Dart and backup Jameis Winston as the Giants currently sit with an abysmal 2-10 record so far this season.
