    NFL Head Coach Vacancies: Full List of Teams With Open Jobs Right Now

    While 12 teams will partake in the 2026 NFL playoffs this weekend (14 total teams), eight teams are in the opposite situation, searching for a new head coach for the 2026-2027 season.

    With the regular season ending last weekend, non-playoff teams have already begun its offseason, with some teams having more work to do than others by finding a new head coach. Two coaches were fired during the season and four coaches were fired on Black Monday. A pair of coaches were fired this week, shortly after Black Monday.

    Here’s a look at the eight NFL head coaching positions that are currently open:

    Current Head Coaching Openings

    #1 – Tennessee Tians

    The Tennessee Titans were the first team this season to move on from its head coach, firing Brian Callahan after a 1-5 start. In a full season plus the first six games this season, Callahan posted a 4-19 record as the Titans’ head coach.

    #2 – New York Giants

    The New York Giants became the second team during the season to move on from its head coach. Following a 2-8 start to the season, Brian Daboll was fired after three-plus seasons as the Giants’ head coach.

    #3 – Las Vegas Raiders 

    Pete Carroll came out of retirement to coach and joined the Las Vegas Raiders this past season. After a 3-14 season, the Raiders decided to not bring back Carroll for next season’s rebuild, firing him on Monday.

    #4 – Arizona Cardinals

    Serving as the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach the last three seasons, Jonathan Gannon was let go by Arizona on Monday after a 3-14 season. The Cardinals have not had a winning season in each of the last three seasons, and they could look to move on from quarterback Kyler Murray this offseason.

    #5 – Cleveland Browns

    Kevin Stefanksi was fired on Monday morning, ending a six-year run with the Cleveland Browns. Stefanski made the playoffs two out of his six seasons with Cleveland, but has finished last place in the AFC North with losing records the last two seasons.

    #6 – Atlanta Falcons 

    The Atlanta Falcons fired Raheem Morris on Black Monday, and also moved on from GM Terry Fontenot. Despite starting the season with a 4-9 record and winning its last four games of the season, he Falcons decided to move on from Morris, who led the Falcons to 8-9 records in back-to-back seasons.

    #7 – Baltimore Ravens 

    After the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in its season finale last Sunday, missing the playoffs, they made the surprise move to fire head coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh is the second-longest tenured NFL head coach and has piled up a 180-113 record. He will have a ton of interest in this head coaching cycle.

    #8 – Miami Dolphins

    Mike McDaniel took over as the Miami Dolphins‘ head coach prior to the 2022 season. His Dolphins finished in second place in the AFC North from 2022-2024 and made the playoffs in each of his first two seasons as their coach. After a 7-10 finish this season, the Dolphins fired him today.
