As Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season concludes tonight, the fantasy football season is nearing the start of the playoffs with most beginning in Week 15.
With many injuries, players on byes, and players underperforming, many fantasy owners could look to strike deals in the next few weeks before its too late to make playoff run.
Let’s take a look at some of the Buy-Low targets for Week 8:
Top 5 NFL Fantasy Buy Low Targets Ahead of Week 8
1.) Ashton Jeanty
Ashton Jeanty was the first running back taken in the 2025 NFL Draft and has only had one breakout performance thus far. for the Raiders. He’s only had one career 100+ yard rushing game, coming in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears. He’s averaged just 4.0 yards per carries this season, but has scored five total touchdowns. Owners who are desperate at help at RB could look to use a mid-round pick on him
2.) D.K. Metcalf
D.K. Metcalf is a physical freak, but can sometimes be inconsistent. He’s had three games this season for the Steelers where he’s had three or less receptions as well as less than 50 yards. He has however, scored four touchdowns on the season, scoring touchdowns in four-straight games. A fantasy owner of Metcalf could look to trade him for decent value if they need help at other positions.
3.) TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson had everyone fooled in the preseason, making everyone think he would become the feature back in New England early on. That hasn’t been the case. Henderson has rushed for just 153 yards this season, averaging a low 3.6 yards per carry. He did have 14 total touches in Week 3, but his usage has been inconsistent, as he only had two touches this past sunday.
4.) Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze looked poised for a breakout season, after recording 13 receptions for 165 yards, and three touchdowns in the first two games of the season. Since then, he has not been as productive. In the last four games combined, Odunze has 11 receptions for 194 yards, and two receiving touchdowns.
5.) Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury. He also did not return to practice in the Ravens’ first team practice since returning from the bye. While the Ravens are 1-5, Jackson is still a good fantasy quarterback regardless, being the best dual-threat QB in the league.
