Here’s a look at some of the best players to target/start, players to bench, and players to add on the waiver wire.
Top Players To Target/Start
Travis Hunter
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver/defensive back had a his best game on offense last week this season. He had eight catches on 14 targets for 101 yards and a receiving touchdown, which were all career-highs. Jacksonville is reportedly ready use him as WR1, meaning his numbers could be going up.
Michael Pittman
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman has been Daniel Jones’ favorite target this season. He has 43 catches for 446 yards and six touchdowns this season. In the last two games, he’s had a receiving touchdown and has had nine targets in each game. The Colts have a favorable matchup against a banged up Pittsburgh Steelers defense this weekend.
Top Players To Bench
Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp has not been that effective this season for the Seattle Seahawks. Kupp has just 24 catches for 293 yards and one touchdown. Those numbers are low for his standards. Much of the attention has been going to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is having the best season of any wide out this season.
Tee Higgins
Tee Higgins had a good game against the Pittsburgh Steelers two games ago, hauling in six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Last week, he was MIA, as he was targeted just twice against the New York Jets with one reception. Quarterback Joe Flacco could possibly sit out this weekend, making the Bengals potentially having to resort back to Jake Browning.
Top Waiver Wire WR Adds
Troy Franklin
Troy Franklin is coming into his own in his second season. Franklin most recently had a two-touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys this past weekend and has three touchdowns and 18 total targets in the last two weeks. Franklin leads the Broncos in touchdown receptions, and has just two targets less than Courtland Sutton this year.
Kayshon Boutte
New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte seems to poised for his biggest season. He’s scored a touchdown in each of the last three games and leads the team in touchdown receptions with five and is second in receiving yards with 431.
