Gardner is viewed as a top corner that will come into Indy and will immediately boost their secondary as its CB1. As for the Jets, they load up on draft capital, get rid of a pricy contract, and look towards the future.
With such a big, unexpected trade taking place, fans on X had a lot to say about the trade with mixed opinions.
“Dude gets to go from the worst team to the best team, he’s gotta be the happiest man on the planet,” one fan replied, following Gardner going from the Jets to the Colts.
Yesterday morning, the Philadelphia Eagles sent the Miami Dolphins a third round pick for defensive end, Jaelan Phillips. This morning, the Las Vegas Raiders sent wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars for fourth and sixth round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys acquired linebacker Logan Wilson from the Cincinnati Bengals for a 2026 seventh round pick.
