‘Worst Franchise in the NFL’ ‘He’s Overrated Anyway’: Fans Lose It as Jets Trade Sauce Gardner to Colts in Stunning Move

With the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline ending in a few hours at 4:00 p.m. the trades have been pouring in with the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts pulling off a blockbuster trade with the Jets sending All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Colts.

In exchange, the Jets received two first round picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, in the biggest trade since Micah Parsons being sent to the Green Bay Packers right before the start of the season.

Gardner is viewed as a top corner that will come into Indy and will immediately boost their secondary as its CB1. As for the Jets, they load up on draft capital, get rid of a pricy contract, and look towards the future.

With such a big, unexpected trade taking place, fans on X had a lot to say about the trade with mixed opinions.

“This is why we’re the worst franchise in the NFL,” noted one fan.
“He’s overrated anyway,” one fan said who seems to not care about trading Gardner away.

“Dude gets to go from the worst team to the best team, he’s gotta be the happiest man on the planet,” one fan replied, following Gardner going from the Jets to the Colts.

“Went to bed 1-7 to waking up 7-2 life is good for Sauce Gardner,” said another fan pointing out Gardner going to a much better team.
“JETS DOWNFALL I AM HERE FOR IT,” said a fan who isn’t optimistic about the Jets.
