The Philadelphia Eagles‘ signature “Tush Push” play has divided fans, with Eagles fans loving it and everybody else saying it should be banned. During the game against the LA Rams on Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champs used the play to score the first touchdown of the game, with none other than Jalen Hurts scoring that touchdown.
It appears there was a missed false start on an Eagles tush push.
Soon after, they scored a touchdown… On a tush push!

This soon had football fans talking, with many of the plays’ critics claiming that the Eagles were basically cheating with that infamous play.
“The league is basically letting the Eagles cheat,” one critic claimed.
“Someone needs to go back and look at all the tush pushes and see how many of them had missed penalties.,” another one suggested.
“I would like the NFL to have the refs go to replay after every play and watch every play in super slow motion so they clean up every false start and every neutral zone infraction on every single play. And for the announcers to nitpick it, too.,” added another person.
“”Tush Push should not he banned just bc Philly is the only team that cam run it…” Well yeah bc they false start evey single time giving their guards a major advantage.,” one commenter pointed out.
“it’s 100% getting banned this offseason,” one X user predicted.
“Wanna stop it? D-line just needs to start bringing their knees up, like high stepping, into the heads on their way down. Eventually it’ll start costing them more in o-linemen than it’s worth.,” said one commenter.
The Tush Push is a play where the quarterback lines up directly behind the center before taking a snap. He then drives or pushes forward behind the offensive line. It was used seven times against the Kansas City Chiefs last week
Former Eagles Star Says Signature Tush Push Is “Done”
Podcaster and retired Eagles star Jason Kelce may have been part of many Tush Push plays, often defending its use. However, in a surprising turnaround, he now believes that the backlash against his former team’s signature play will lead to its demise.
“I think the play is done,” he said. “I think that there’s a lot of people within the league, at multiple levels, that want the play to be gone, which is fine. I think we’ll still go back to running quarterback sneak, and I’m sure they’ll figure out ways to be successful. I’m not really that concerned with it, to be very candid.”
The play is said to be unpopular everywhere except Philadelphia. There was an effort to ban the play from the Green Bay Packers, but the measure failed by just two votes.
