New York Jets starting running back Breece Hall is in the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, and there are rumors that he could be on the move. With Hall set to become a free agent next season, rumors about a potential trade have surfaced in recent months, as he and the Jets haven’t agreed on a contract extension.
With the 2026 NFL trade deadline less than a month away (Nov. 10), Hall knows he will be brought up in trade rumors but hasn’t paid too much attention to them. Speaking to reporters this week about a potential trade, Hall shut down the idea of playing for a different team, saying he wants to be a New York Jet and he is where he wants to be.
Hall said:
“This is my fifth month dealing with this now. At this point, it is what it is. I’m here. I want to be here. I love being a New York Jet and everything. At the end of the day, I don’t control what goes on, I only control what I do on the field and how I handle my business off the field.”
“So for me, it’s all about servicing my teammates and coaches the best way I can, and let God handle whatever else. Every day I come out, like I said, I’m servicing my teammates and coaches, glorifying God, and whatever happens happens after that,” he added.

Which Teams Could Trade For Jets’ Breece Hall?
If Breece Hall is available for trade or if the New York Jets are willing to move him for the right price, the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are two teams that could be interested.
The Chargers have suffered injuries to their two starting running backs. Najee Harris is out for the season with an Achilles injury, and rookie RB Omarion Hampton has been placed on injured reserve after last week’s game.
The Chiefs’ run game has been nonexistent this season, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the team in that category with 190 yards through the team’s first five games. Between running backs Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt, they have a combined 327 rushing yards on 82 carries and just one rushing touchdown.
This season, Hall has rushed for 351 yards on 66 carries, averaging 5.3 yards per carry, but has not scored a rushing touchdown. He also has 17 catches for 150 yards. In his career, he has 2,684 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 169 catches, 1,442 receiving yards, and eight receiving touchdowns.
