Myles Garrett Refuses To Defend Dillon Gabriel As Disaster Loss vs Jets Leads To Fans Calling For Kevin Stefanski’s Firing

The Cleveland Browns are doing what the Cleveland Browns are usually doing, and that is losing games. The team just lost to one of the worst teams in the league, the New York Jets, on Sunday, leading to many to call for head coach Kevin Stefansky to be fired and QB1 Dillon Gabriel, a rookie, to be replaced.

The situation with the team has also grown even more complicated after corner back Myles Garrett did not defend his teammate during a press conference after he was asked about the current quarterback situation:

“Quarterback direction has nothing to do with me. I’m worried about the defense and us giving up the points that we did,” he told reporters. “Who we stick with at quarterback is up to Kevin.”

The Browns fell to 2-7 after the loss, with many blaming both Stefanski and Gabriel for it. Some fans have taken to X to call for Stefanski’s immediate firing soon after.

“You know even through the winless season there was excitement This is without a doubt in my 40 yrs a fan the most boring offense I’ve seen The drops, the dip and dunk throws, the lack of effort. I have to say all that revolves around coaching I hate it but #firestefanski #browns,” tweeted one fan.

“Dear @Browns , this is an open plead to please fire Kevin Stefanski. We are all fed up with the same horrible offense week after week. It’s embarrassing to be a fan, and you’re taking advantage of our loyalty at this point. #Browns #firestefanski,” added another.

“How in the hell does Kevin Stefanski still have a job? He incompetent at best and willfully negligent at worst. #firestefanski #browns #clevsne #DawgPound,” one Browns fan said.

Kevin Stefanski To Stick With Dillon Gabriel For Week 11

Despite all the backlash, Kevin Stefanski told reporters that he will be sticking with the embattled Dillon Gabriel on Week 11, which will pit the Browns against the resurgent Baltimore Ravens, who have their QB1, Lamar Jackson, back from injury.

For his part, Gabriel is more than aware of his team’s struggles, as he told reporters after that loss to the Jets:

“When things aren’t going well, there’s always going to be change,” he said. “That’s part of it. Because if you don’t change anything it’s insanity.”

Stefanski has been accused of being anti-Shedeur Sanders, as he has stuck with Gabriel while the former Colorado standout remained a backup QB and still waiting for his time to shine.
