Minkah Fitzpatrick Trade Rumors: Three Destinations That Make Sense If Miami Pro Bowler Parts Ways With Dolphins

Miami Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick began his career with the Miami Dolphins and is currently with the team as they acquired him from the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.

After the two teams made a deal in 2019 to send the safety to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh sent him back to Miami for this season and with their tumultuous 2-7 start, the team is open to trading him according to multiple sources.

Miami showed that they’re in the business of dealing and heading into a rebuild. They fired General Manager Chris Grier after the team’s 28-6 Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. They also traded edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles this morning for a third-round pick.

Let’s take a look at three teams that could trade for Fitzpatrick.

Three Teams That Could Trade For Minkah Fitzpatrick

    Baltimore Ravens

They need all the help that they can get on defense. They currently allow the fifth-most pass yards on defense, averaging 250 yards per game. The Ravens are also thin in the secondary, as they recently traded Jaire Alexander to the Philadelphia Eagles.

    Dallas Cowboys

Dallas’ defense hasn’t been the same since they traded away Micah Parsons. Now, I’m not saying trading for Minkah Fitzpatrick will flip their defense around, but he will bring help to a secondary that is need of it. Dallas’ secondary currently allows the third most passing yards, allowing 258.6 per game.

    Pittsburgh Steelers

Wouldn’t it be funny for the Miami Dolphins to trade Minkah Fitzpatrick back to the Pittsburgh Steelers?

The Steelers have a good offense, but they’re defense is inconsistent. Part of is the secondary. They have the tendency to give up a lot of yards, allowing a league-high 281.9 yards per game.
