The November 4 trade deadline is fast approaching and Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is gaining traction on trade market. The Raiders’ 2-5 record has removed them from potential playoff berth and they must decide quickly if they want to do a hard reset.
If they seek options in that direction, they can acquire a good number of draft picks and future assets by trading Crosby. Among the teams that could use his services are the Dallas Cowboys, who are valued at $13 billion by Forbes.
On Tuesday, according to NFL reporter Trey Wingo, the Cowboys, who traded pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers due to failed contract talks, are interested in acquiring Crosby via trade.

The Raiders have locked in Crosby through 2029 via a three-year, $106.5 million extension (including $91.5 million guaranteed).
Why the Cowboys Are Interested In Maxx Crosby
The Cowboys, fresh off winning 44-22 against the Washington Commanders, are having a great offense but their defensive unit has fallen short in several games. With Micah Parsons no longer with them, they need a defensive anchor like Maxx Crosby.
Crosby’s run-stop, pass-rush and consistency is in line with what Dallas are looking to accelerate a playoff push. Moreover, since he is under contract through 2029, it solves Cowboys problem for the foreseeable future.
However, there are also some issues regarding the contract. Firstly, the $91.5 million guaranteed money in his contract makes any potential trade complicated. In order to invite such a significant cap amount on their books, they will have to restructure contract with other players.
Also, the Raiders just gave an extension to Crosby. So giving up on his future this early seems unlikely.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has already made it known that he is ready to do everything that makes the team better.
“We are in as good a shape as we’ve been in years with picks … with our cap,” Jones told 105.3 FM on Tuesday. “And if we see a way to improve our team with a player that makes sense (we’ll inquire).”
It remains to be seen what Raiders do with Crosby or whether they have let Dallas known that the pass rusher is untouchable.
