Matthew Stafford’s Best Friend Clayton Kershaw Had His Moment in World Series Game 3
Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is not known for his postseason heroics. His postseason performance hasn’t given him a lot of admiration but he finally had a moment where he can say he nailed in the postseason.
In World Series Game 3, manager Dave Roberts called Kershaw out of bullpen in a high leverage situation in Game 3. With bases loaded and only one out remaining, Kershaw was tasked to retire the final hitter in the 12th inning. The southpaw induced a key ground out to escape the jam.
Weight of the WORLD on his shoulders
Has pitched just once in the past month
Criticized endlessly for coming up short in October

Matthew Stafford and Clayton Kershaw go way back. The duo grew up in Dallas area, attended the same high school, and have been friends since seven years old. Both attended Highland Park High School in University Park.
In high school, Kershaw was a top baseball prospect; Stafford was a star quarterback. Kershaw once served as Stafford’s center on the freshman football team at Highland Park.
Stafford might be happy learning that his old friend still got in him at age 37.
