“Hope He Gets Fired”: Matt LaFleur Hot Seat Talk Intensifies as Packers Fans Voice Growing Concerns

After a red-hot start, Matt LaFleur has found himself on the hot seat, as a lot of fans are now calling for his ouster as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. The Packers currently have a 5-3-1 record and have lost twice in a row now, with fans growing frustrated at the coach despite many being high on him earlier in the season.

LaFleur is already coaching as best he can and tries to win every single game, as his job is already on the line given Green Bay’s struggles this season. To make things even more complicated, he only has two more years in his contract, and the Packers president and CEO has previously said that he does not like having lame duck scenarios, and LaFleur may be heading into one.

With that, fans took to X to voice their frustrations ahead of the Packers’ Week 11 showdown against the New York Giants.

“matt lafleur took away all the confidence from this packers team I hope he gets fired we need a new head coach,” one fan said on X.

“If the packers lose to Jameis and the Giants, leave Matt LaFleur in New Jersey.” another person replied.

“That’s a “this is Matt LaFleur’s last game as #Packers HC” kinda start. Let’s see if it gets any better.” one fan noted.

“Matt LaFleur wasting zero time being an unserious joke today. You love to see it,” another person commented.

“If the Packers lose to the freaking Giants with all of the injuries they have, Matt LaFleur better be left in East Rutherford and forced to find his own way home. #GoPackGo,” another frustrated fan pointed out.

“Matt LaFleur should be fired on the spot if the Packers lose today. The way they’ve started games all season has been UNACCEPTABLE,” one Green Bay fan added.

Matt LaFleur Addresses Green Bay Packers’ Struggles

Ahead of Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, Matt LaFleur addressed the team’s most recent struggles. During that close three-point loss to the Eagles, the Packers had the chance to win, but they ultimately did not, and fans blamed LaFleur for it. Here is what the coach said in response:

“You have to look inward,” he said. “Like I told the team today, I don’t care if we win 3-0 or 49-48. Bottom line is we have to find a way to get it done; otherwise you get criticized, and that’s just the way it is. So I think that, especially as the playcaller, you’re trying to put people in the best position possible to go out there and have success. And when we’re not having collective success … you have to challenge yourself to do better,” he said.

Over those last two losses, Green Bay actually played well on defense, only allowing 23 points in those losses against Carolina and Philly. However, the team could not get the job done on offense, with the coach taking the bulk of the blame.
