Malik Nabers’ season finished before it was meant to. Since Week 4, he has been on the sidelines with a torn ACL and meniscus. The New York Giants wide receiver is not expected to return until the start of the 2026 season next year. Well, whenever he returns, one thing is certain now: he will do it under new leadership.
The Giants have officially fired head coach Brian Daboll. The team’s season has been disastrous this year, with their Sunday defeat to the Chicago Bears making their record 2-8.
In the wake of the news, an old video of Nabers’ fighting with Daboll on the sidelines of a Giants game resurfaced. Well, something is clear now. He won’t have to do so again when he returns.
Uh Oh: Malik Nabers is PISSED off at HC Brian Daboll.

New York Giants Statement on Brian Daboll’s Firing
On Monday, the ownership of the New York Giants stated their decision to fire Brian Daboll and explained why they chose to do so:
“The past few seasons have been nothing short of disappointing, and we have not met our expectations for this franchise,” Giants co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch said Monday in a joint statement. “We understand the frustrations of our fans, and we will work to deliver a significantly improved product.”
Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka has been announced as the team’s interim head coach, as the front office picks a new permanent head coach. Kafka has been the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants since 2022, and before that was the quarterbacks coach for the Kansas City Chiefs for several years.
A graduate of Northwestern, Kafka was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He had a journeyman career in the NFL between 2010 and 2015, before returning to Northwestern to start his coaching career as a graduate assistant. He hasn’t held a head coaching position until now.
