Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive right tackle Luke Goedeke went down with an injury that ruled him out for the remainder of his team’s Week 2 matchup. On Monday, Sept. 15, Goedeke and the rest of coach Todd Bowles’ Buccaneers are taking on the Houston Texans for their second game of the 2025 NFL season in away territory in the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
However, @BuccaneersComms on X/Twitter just reported that Goedeke has left the game and is out for the rest of it due to an aggravated foot injury. Per Charean Williams of Yahoo! Sports, Goedeke picked up the injury after Texans edge rusher Danielle Hunter did a spin move on him, causing his foot to get tangled up. Goedeke was then brought back to the training room.

Goedeke and the Buccaneers are coming off a win in their first game of this year’s NFL schedule with a huge victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Tampa Bay won 23-20 at the Falcons’ home pitch, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday, Sept. 7. It was reported that Goedeke was already doubtful against the Texans.
Nevertheless, the Buccaneers will push forward in their second straight away game of the campaign and try and come out victorious. There is no word yet on the extent of Goedeke’s injury, as he will surely do his best to play in Week 3. The Whitelaw, Wisconsin, native is in his fourth season in the NFL, all with the Buccaneers, after he ended his college football career in 2021.

Luke Goedeke Is Replaced By Charlie Heck As Right Tackle
Similar to what he did in their first game of the season, 28-year-old right tackle Charlie Heck subbed in for the injured Luke Goedeke as an offensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Heck will play out the remainder of the matchup as Tampa Bay looks to steal one from the Falcons. Heck is in his sixth year in the league, bouncing from different teams before finding a spot at Tampa Bay.
Win or lose, the Buccaneers are set to face the New York Jets on Saturday, Sept. 20, in their third game of the campaign and their first home game of the season, playing in front of the Buccaneers faithful at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
