Is Lamar Jackson Playing This Week? What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Ravens QB Status Ahead of Week 10

Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson has not been available all season. As a result, the Ravens have struggled despite high preseason expectations. They sit 3-5 and second in the AFC North behind the Pittsburgh Steelers after picking up a win over Miami last Thursday. It was the return game of Lamar Jackson, and the Ravens’ second win in a row.

Lamar Jackson suffered a hamstring injury on Sept. 28 against the Kansas City Chiefs, a game they lost 37-20. He took a hit on a scramble play and did not appear hurt. However, he quickly went to the sideline and did not return. He proceeded to miss three games, with the Ravens going 1-2 in those games.

Jackson was able to return last week against Miami and looked good. He did not appear hindered by injury as the Ravens were able to easily dispatch the Dolphins 28-6. Jackson performed well, completing 18 of 23 passing attempts for 204 yards and four TDs. However, he did not rush as much as he normally does, only making five carries for 14 yards.

Jackson still appears healthy and is expected to play on Sunday as the Ravens take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Can the Baltimore Ravens Make the Playoffs with a Healthy Lamar Jackson?

Now that Lamar Jackson is healthy, the question the football world is asking is if the Ravens can rally and make the playoffs. They were one of the preseason Super Bowl favorites, but have struggled this season. They even struggled before Jackson’s injury.

To qualify for the playoffs, a team typically needs 10 wins. Sometimes nine will get a team there is a weak division or in a weak year, but that was not the case last season. As a result, the Ravens will need to get to 10 wins to safely qualify for the playoffs.

The team is 3-5 with nine games remaining. So, to get to 10 wins, they would need to go 7-2 to finish the season to qualify for the playoffs, or maybe 6-3 if they get some luck. It is not impossible, but it will be a challenge. If the Ravens can play like they were projected to this season, they can make the playoffs, but they have very little room for error, even with a healthy Lamar Jackson.
