Lamar Jackson Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Ravens QB Status Ahead of Week 13

Lamar Jackson just came back and got the Baltimore Ravens back to their winning ways. However, it seems that he might be injured again, as the former NFL MVP appeared in his team’s injury report on Tuesday but was a full participant during the team’s practice that same day.

This injury report showed that a lot of Baltimore Ravens players were featured in the injury report, though many were showing signs of improvement, including Jackson himself. Safety Kyle Hamilton did not participate during the Monday practice, though he finally had limited participation on Tuesday. Not all were good, though, as Justice Hill did not practice due to a neck problem.

Will Lamar Jackson Play Week 13?

As for Jackson, he had been nursing a toe injury that he suffered during that 23-10 win over the New York Jets last Sunday. He successfully passed 13 of his 23 attempts for 153 yards, but he soon got hurt, and it was serious enough to have him sit out on Monday’s practice. This begs the question of whether he will play?

Because he practiced on Tuesday, there is now some optimism that he will be healed enough to take on the field on Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, the team being optimistic of his return is one thing; his actually returning is another. For now, Jackson should be deemed questionable until the big game, as there is a chance that he might not be able to play, though there is also a big chance that he would.

Should I Start Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson in Week 13?

After languishing with a turf toe injury that he has been dealing with since September, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to make his long-awaited return on Thursday, during the Thanksgiving Showdown against Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens. The question now is, who should Fantasy managers go for, Burrows or Jackson?

Jackson has shown that he could make an immediate impact after weeks of being injured, though he himself has been very hobbled at the moment and is questionable. As for Burrow, the Bengals QB1 is expected to play for the first time since September, and while he might be a bit rusty, he may explode and lead the Bengals to victory.

Right now, with Jackson being injured and probably playing hurt if he does play, the smarter choice should be the fresher Joe Burrow. However, one does not simply count out Jackson, so Fantasy managers better keep that in mind if they plan to replace him with Burrow.
