LA Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey’s wife, Sydney, enjoyed the game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. She was proud after her husband caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Justin Herbert in the third quarter, as the Chargers won 29-27.
After evading multiple defenders, Herbert connected with a 5-yard touchdown pass to McConkey. It was his second touchdown of the season. The Chargers posted the play on their Instagram account.

Sydney reshared the post and added a sweet caption, writing:
“He’s amazing that’s all.”
In the game, McConkey caught six receptions for 58 yards and one touchdown. He was second to Oronde Gadsden II among receivers for most receptions. Gadsden had seven receptions, and he gained 68 yards on them.
McConkey has emerged as a reliable target for Herbert on offense. Before this game, the receiver had 21 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown.
McConkey was picked No. 34 in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Chargers. He won two national championships with Georgia before turning pro.
Ladd McConkey And Sydney Got Married Before The 2025 Season
Ladd McConkey and Sydney got married on April 12 this year. The ceremony was attended by his University of Georgia football teammates Stetson Bennett and Brock Bowers.
McConkey had uploaded photos from a scenic wedding shoot to announce their marriage on Instagram. The Chargers receiver wrote:
“Officially “us”🥂 The best day ever getting to marry my bestfriend! 4.12.25❤️.”

The couple first met in fifth grade. When they were 16, they started dating in Dec. 2017. Last year in July, McConkey popped the question to Sydney in a heartfelt ceremony in Northwest Georgia. The receiver posted photos from their engagement, writing:
“My person for life. Here’s to the beginning of forever with my bestfriend! I love you so much❤️ 7.6.24.”
