Atlanta tight end Kyle Pitts has been a steady force for the Falcons this season. While he is not a superstar, he has put up consistent numbers for the team. However, he struggled immensely in the first half against Indianapolis on Sunday. He did not make a single catch in the first half, which led to a big reaction from fans. However, he is not injured, just playing poorly.
“Kyle pitts is 6’6 and he’s not jumping back to high point that ball. What is he doing,” one fan wrote.
“Kyle Pitts is the worst,” one fan commented.
“Kyle Pitts gotta make a better effort to get that football,” one fan added.
Fans continued to react to Kyle Pitts’ poor performance on X.
“At this point I jist think kyle pitts dropping sh*t on purpose…im not a Falcons fan by any means but I have a strong hunch he wants out of Atlanta….that dude shows zero effort in attempting to even catch a pass,” one fan wrote.
“Kyle Pitts just ROASTED the entire Colts Secondary… should have been an easy touchdown… Michael Penix massively underthrew it,” one fan commented.
“Kyle Pitts is the worst tight end I’ve ever seen in the NFL,” one fan added.
Kyle Pitts Gets His First Catch Against the Colts Early in the Second Half
While Kyle Pitts struggled in the first half, not making a single catch, the Falcons entered halftime with a narrow 14-13 lead. Pitts then did not waste much time making his first catch of the game. On a scramble second down play, QB Michael Penix Jr. got away from rushing defenders and completed a pass to Kyle Pitts. It was a 25-yard completion which helped the Falcons end the drive with a field goal, taking a 17-13 lead.

Pitts and the Falcons entered the game as underdogs against the 7-2 Colts. They had lost three games in a row, including giving the Miami Dolphins their second win of the year. Going up against a playoff contender in the Colts, they were not expected to be competitive. Despite that, they held a lead early in the third quarter, even without Kyle Pitts playing at a high level.
