Sports columnist and media personality Skip Bayless did not hold back in calling out some of the Cleveland Browns’ head coach, Kevin Stefanski’s, tactics against the 49ers on Sunday, Nov. 30.
Browns’ quarterback Shedeur Sanders linked up with tight end Harold Fannin in the first half for a 34-yard touchdown. Since the 49ers had too many players on the field during the extra point, they received a penalty.
Instead of kicking the extra point, Cleveland chose to use the penalty while switching to a wildcat QB formation involving Shedeur and Quinshon Judkins, with the latter converting the two-point conversion to give the Browns an 8-7 lead with less than 40 seconds left in the first half.

Despite the Browns’ successful tactical ploy, Bayless wasn’t happy with head coach Stefanski for supposedly shaming the quarterback for using him as Judkins’ wildcat play.
He also called Stefanski and his play ‘dumb and petty.’
“STEFANSKI DOES NOT UNDERSTAND HOW SHEDEUR CAN MOVE ON QB DRAWS AND READ OPTIONS, SO HE SHAMES AND YANKS SHEDEUR WITH THE WILDCAT. JUST DUMB. AND PETTY”, Bayless wrote on X
This game marks Shedeur Sanders’ second start in the NFL after an impressive debut start display against the Las Vegas Raiders last week, helping the Browns win 24-10.
San Francisco Holds 17-8 Advantage Over Cleveland After Three Quarters
The game started with 49ers wide receiver Skyy Moore’s 66-yard punt return, which helped Christian McCaffrey score the touchdown, giving the 49ers a 7–0 lead with 8:12 left in the first quarter.
Cleveland responded to the 49ers’ touchdown later in the half with an extra point wildcat play involving Shedeur Sanders, Quinshon Judkins, and tight end Harold Fannin, scoring eight points on that play.
However, thanks to quarterback Brock Purdy’s two-yard touchdown, the 49ers extended the San Francisco-based side’s lead by nine points, marking Purdy’s first rushing touchdown of the season.
