Browns HC Kevin Stefanski Makes Key QB Decision As Dillon Gabriel Throws 2 INTs in Blowout Loss vs Patriots

The Cleveland Browns are under fire again after they faced a disappointing loss against Drake Maye-led New England Patriots in a 32-13 game in week 8.

Various fans and analysts expressed their frustration over Dillon Gabriel’s struggle against the Patriots as the ex-Oregon star only completed 21 of his 35 pass attempts for just 156 yards and secured two touchdowns, along with two third-quarter interceptions.

While the Browns fans want to see Shedeur Sanders take the spotlight after the bye week, head coach Kevin Stefanski made it clear during a press conference held on Tuesday that the franchise will be sticking with Gabriel during the Jets showdown in week 10.

“But I just wanna make the point that we just have to be better in every area. And we’ll look at everything we do, including how we’re putting these guys in position to succeed. Are we doing enough? When I say looking at every position, are we doing enough with the quarterback position? Do we need to do a better job? And I think I know the answer is yes.”

Robert Griffin III Makes Thoughts Clear on Shedeur Sanders’ Chances of Starting at Cleveland

After Gabriel’s disappointing performance in week 8, Robert Giffin III shared his thoughts on whether he thinks Shedeur Sanders will get an opportunity to start with the Browns or not.

The answer was no, unless the Browns fire Stafanski, RGIII doesn’t believe the ex-Colorado star will be able to take the centre stage instead of Dillon Gabriel at Cleveland.

The ex-NFL star shared that while he doesn’t have anything against Dillon Gabriel, he doesn’t believe Stefanski is doing what’s best for the team, especially after his decision to announce that he is sticking with Gabriel just one day after the game.

Griffin further called out Stefanski for putting Sanders down every chance he gets, for not putting him in any position to be successful. He further added that Stefanski owes the locker room that he gives Shedeur opportunity to compete, to have a pathway to the field, just like the other players.
