    Kayshon Boutte Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Patriots WR Status Ahead of Week 10

    New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is having a breakout season in Year 3 with the Patriots.

    Boutte is currently second on the team in receiving yards with 431 yards, and leads the team in receiving touchdowns with five. He averages a team-high 18.7 yards per catch and has been a deep threat for Drake Maye this season.

    As the Patriots prepare for a crucial Week 10 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there is a chance that they will be without Boutte.

    What Happened to Kayshon Boutte?

    According to the Patriots receiver himself, Kayshon Boutte has suffered a grade one MCL sprain. He announced the injury on his discord earlier this week.

    The injury is considered minor, and isn’t expected to keep Boutte out long-term.

    Is Kayshon Boutte Playing In Week 10?

    According to head coach Mike Vrabel, Kayshon Boutte’s status is considered ‘day-to-day.’ Vrabel also added that Boutte won’t be available in practice early on in the week. Still, there is a chance that he plays this Sunday against the Buccaneers.


    As a result of Boutte’s status, the Patriots have signed Brenden Rice, the son of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

    Kayshon Boutte Fantasy Outlook

    If he is able to avoid not missing time with his current injury, Kayshon Boutte is projected to have a career season. As of right now, he is projected to record 43 receptions for 814 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.

    Last season Boutte had a stat line of 43-589-3 in his sophomore season and has become more of a stable receiver in the Patriots‘ wide receiver corps. Boutte fits as a solid WR3 or second flex option in most fantasy football leagues.
