“Don’t Want To Date Any More Athletes”: Kayla Nicole Throws Subtle Shade at Travis Kelce as She Announces New Dating Standard

Kayla Nicole, during her recent appearance on the “Boyfriend Material With Harry Jowsey” podcast, revealed her new approach to dating while also taking a subtle dig at her ex, Travis Kelce.

During the conversation, Jowsey mentioned that he’s a part-owner of a professional rugby team in Los Angeles. This prompted Nicole to waste no time in asking if he had any owner friends she could meet, with her reasoning being her preference towards owners more than athletes these days, as she’s completely done with dating athletes.

“I keep saying I don’t want to date any more athletes, but I’m down to date the owners of the teams,” Nicole stated on the podcast (0:34).

The statement is a direct dig at her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, a relationship that lasted on and off for five years.

Nicole’s Toni Braxton-Inspired Costume Reignites Drama Surrounding Her Split With Kelce

Nicole raised eyebrows earlier this year when she dressed as Toni Braxton from the “He Wasn’t Man Enough” music video for Halloween.

Her costume was supposedly directed at her ex, Travis Kelce, and his fiancée, pop star Taylor Swift. While many saw it as shade toward Kelce and Swift, Nicole denied any intentional dig.

A journalism graduate from Pepperdine University, Nicole has worked with major networks, including ESPN and Barstool Sports, covering NBA and NFL games.

She has also founded a wellness brand called ‘Tribe Therepē’ whilst also being an ambassador for major companies, including Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line.

She’s also ventured into podcasting with “The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole,” discussing sports, relationships, and lifestyle. Throughout all of this, Nicole has been open about prioritizing her mental health and therapy, navigating her public breakup with Travis Kelce.

Nicole and Kelce started dating in 2017 after connecting on Instagram. Their time together included a public split in August 2020 before reconciling briefly, with their relationship ultimately concluding in 2022.
