The Minnesota Vikings suffered a humiliating 26-0 loss against the Seattle Seahawks, leading to trade chatter for Justin Jefferson. In the loss, Jefferson caught only two receptions for four yards.
Following the embarrassing loss, Grammy-nominated artist and American rapper Freddie Gibbs hinted at potential exit talks from Justin Jefferson.
“Justin Jefferson gon request a trade,” Gibbs wrote.

The Vikings’ offense was completely overpowered by the Seahawks as they forced five turnovers, including four interceptions thrown by Max Brosmer, who made his first NFL start. Moreover, the Vikings managed just 162 total yards of offense and couldn’t find the end zone.
The loss dropped the Vikings to 4-8 on the year. With their starting quarterback sidelined and the rookie struggling in his first NFL start, the Vikings offense is raising a lot more questions than answers this late in the season.
Justin Jefferson Seemingly Unhappy After Seahawks’ Loss
With JJ McCarthy sidelined due to concussion protocol, the Vikings handed the reins to Max Brosmer, and he did not live up to the expectations. Brosmer went 19-for-30 for 126 yards, was sacked four times, and threw four interceptions.
Most importantly, he couldn’t find any chemistry with the team’s leading receiver, Justin Jefferson, who was targeted only six times, out of which two receptions were completed for a career-low four yards.
After the game, head coach Kevin O’Connell said it bluntly that it was an underwhelming showing.
“There’s no question that we’re pressing. We just can’t quite seem to catch the rhythm of positive plays with all 11 guys executing right now. And that’s guys maybe trying to do too much. Maybe we’ve gotta try to limit what we’re asking of the group as a whole… I thought early on Max was, honestly, maybe processing too quickly.”
After the game, Jefferson left the locker room without talking to a reporter, which is the first time it has happened in years.

Jefferson’s play in the last four games has been largely uncharacteristic. In three of those games, he was even unable to eclipse 50 receiving yards in a game. Poor quarterback play is one of the major reasons for such a downturn in one of the NFL’s best receivers.
