    Josh Jacobs Injury Update: Is Packers Star RB Playing in the Wild Card Round vs. Bears?

    During the Green Bay Packers-New York Giants Week 10 game, Packers running back Josh Jacobs injured his knee on the second play of the game.

    After banging his knee at the end of a run on the MetLife Stadium turf, Jacobs experience discomfort and swelling on the knee. He played 10 more snaps before leaving for the reminder of the game with a contusion.

    Despite the injury, Jacobs hasn’t missed time (except for the team’s regular season finale) and has played through the injury while reaggravating it a few times.

    Is Josh Jacobs Playing This Week vs. Bears?

    Yes, Josh Jacobs is playing this weekend against the Chicago Bears this Saturday when the two teams meet at 8:00 p.m. in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Jacobs provided a positive update on his status, stating this is the best he’s felt in six weeks, leading up to the team’s Saturday game.

    The Packers rested Jacobs in Week 18, and that likely made him feel better than he has in the last month-plus.

    Can the Packers Beat Bears This Week?

    Divisional games in the regular season are usually played pretty closely and same with in the playoffs. Saturday night’s game between the Packers and the Bears could be another one of those close divisional games.

    The two teams split their regular season series this season, playing both games in December and both games being decided by a score. Green Bay defeated Chicago 28-21 on Dec. 7 at Lambeau Field in the first matchup, and less than two weeks later on Dec. 20, the Bears defeated Green Bay at Solider Field in overtime, 22-16.

    The Bears will host Green Bay this Saturday at Solider Field and despite being the home team, are 1.5-point underdogs (according to ESPN.) ESPN’s Matchup Predictor also favors Green Bay, with 54.4% of people thinking Green Bay will win.

    In football, anything can happen, and the ‘Any Given Sunday’ motto fits for the playoffs too.
