Josh Jacobs Injury Update: Did Packers RB Get Hurt Today vs. Giants?

Facing the New York Giants on the road in Week 11 the third place Green Bay Packers are looking for a much-needed win to keep them alive in the NFC North race.

The Packers suffered some early adversity in the game with a pair of key players getting injured. The team also trailed the Giants 7-0 after the first quarter. Let’s take a look at who left the game for the Packers and all we know about their injuries.

    Did Josh Jacobs Get Hurt?

Josh Jacobs was seen leaving the game and heading to the locker room early in the second quarter following a Packers touchdown. Jacobs apparently suffered a knee injury and is currently questionable to return back to the game.

Jacobs wasn’t the only Packers player to get hurt in the first half. Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love also got hurt and left the game. He, however returned back to the game after being evaluated for a left shoulder injury.

    Who is Josh Jacobs’ Backup?

If Josh Jacobs is out for the rest of the game, it will be up to backups Emmanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks to lead the backfield. Wilson would be the primary back, as he rushed for 502 yards and four touchdowns last season with the Packers.

Prior to today’s game, Wilson entered today with 180 rushing yards on 43 carries and 10 catches for 60 yards. Wilson scored a touchdown in the second quarter with 7:29 remaining in the half to give the Packers a 13-7 lead over the Giants.

Brooks, like Wilson, is in his third NFL season but second with the Packers. He hasn’t been featured much this season as he has just two carries for two yards on the season.
