Jonathan Owens and the Chicago Bears just won the NFC North, and Simone Biles is celebrating. The multiple-time Olympic gold medalist and wife of the Bears star safety took to her Instagram story this Saturday night to celebrate her husband’s team clinching the AFC North’s divisional title for the 2025 season.

While reposting the team’s victory post on her Instagram story, she also added the following caption:
“BEAR DOWN BABYYYYY proud of you @jowens 😤😤🫡🫡”
The Bears’ NFC North title was secured by the Baltimore Ravens’ victory over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night, 41-24. The victory also kept the Ravens’ playoffs alive, if in life support. They need the Pittsburgh Steelers to fall to the Cleveland Browns this Sunday afternoon, and then they need to beat the Steelers on the road in the final week of the season. It’s a tall order indeed.
How Did Simone Biles Meet Jonathan Owens?
Biles and Owens officially met through the dating app Raya during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. A key part of their meetup is that the football player didn’t know who Simone Biles was, and arguably, at the time, she was a far bigger deal than he was. While he was just in his second season in the NFL, the gymnast was already a consummated Olympic legend, having won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
It was also Biles who first slid into the player’s DMs in March of 2020. What is certain is that soon after meeting him, she already knew he was the one. She told the following to People Magazine in November:
“I don’t know the term for it, but as soon as I met Jonathan, I remember coming home and telling my friends—because they were at my house getting ready with me for that little date— I came back and I was like, ‘Oh, I think I’m going to marry him.’ Why did I say that? I don’t know. I don’t know why I said that.”
After three years of dating, the couple officially tied the knot in April 2023.
