Jonathan Owens’ Chicago Bears lost against the San Francisco 49ers in their Week 17 matchup. The 38-42 loss didn’t affect their NFC North standing as they’re still at the top of the table with 11 wins and have clinched the division.
As always, Owens’ wife, Simone Biles, was in attendance to support him and the Bears. But before kickoff, Biles found a new gig and showed some of her newfound skills.
Biles was seen with a professional Sony camera and was taking pictures of the players while they were practicing. The NFL’s official Instagram handle posted some of her clicks, and it proved that the Olympic legend could do anything if she wanted to.

Later, she reposted the same on her Instagram story and explained a key element of her process of becoming an amateur photographer for the Bears.
“really getting those angles,” she wrote.
Biles wasn’t the only Olympic gymnast who was seen with a camera in her hands before kickoff. Before the Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings Christmas Day matchup, Suni Lee was also seen showing her skills with a camera.

With the loss against the 49ers, the Bears are now 11-5, but they still have the best record in the NFC North. They’re followed by the Green Bay Packers, who have clinched a wild card and are 9-6-1 this season so far.
Other than the loss, the Bears had another heartbreaking moment when their rookie wideout, Luther Burden III, had to be carted off the field. Fortunately, ESPN insider Adam Schefter later reported that the injury isn’t believed to be serious, and he underwent additional tests for the quad injury on Monday.
How Did Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles Meet?
While both are from the world of sports, their respective disciplines differ significantly from each other. During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, Owens revealed that he had no idea who Biles was before he met her.
He stated that when Biles was ruling the world on the biggest stage, he was in college and wasn’t paying attention to what was happening in the Olympics. It was only after he saw her Instagram that he realized how big a deal Simone Biles was.
“When she won the Olympics, I was in college, and we didn’t have NBC. We didn’t have Olympics channels and we’re in camp. We’re in camp in late July, early August,” he said. “So, I’m not paying attention…I’m like, ‘Lemme see who this is.’ I never really paid attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity.”
Many thought that Owens’ comment about his wife’s achievements was ignorant. But it had little to no effect on the couple, and they’re still going strong.
