Is Joe Burrow Playing This Week? What Tee Higgins, Joe Flacco Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Bengals QB

The Bengals haven’t played with their QB1 in 11 weeks. The good news for them is that their QB1, Joe Burrow, looks like he should be able to give it a go this Thursday. On Monday, Nov. 24, on his X handle, Ian Rapoport posted a screenshot of Burrow’s Instagram story, which featured a younger Burrow and a caption that read “He’s back.”

Head coach Zac Taylor also announced that Burrow is expected to play this week in what could turn around a rough season for the Bengals. So here is everything you need to know about Burrow’s return.

    Joe Burrow Injury Update

Burrow got hurt in Week 2. The toe injury that kept him out required surgery and forced the Bengals to trade for Joe Flacco. Last week, it looked like Burrow was going to play, but he ended up sitting out. The bright news for Bengals fans is that he has been able to practice for the last two weeks and should be fully healthy for the game this week.

Is Joe Burrow Playing Week 13?

Burrow has received the green light from his head coach and is expected to be in action this week against the Baltimore Ravens. If there were something to aggravate him during the week, he probably wouldn’t play. With the practice time that Burrow has had and the confirmation from Zac Taylor, we should see him in Week 13.

Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Advice For Bengals vs Ravens

Burrow’s return is going to change fantasy outlooks significantly. First, there is Joe Flacco, who has turned into a QB1 in most leagues throughout Burrow’s injury. Unfortunately for owners, that time has come to an end. With no playing time, Flacco should probably hit the waiver wires in most leagues.

Tee Higgins and almost any other Bengals skill player must start this week. The Ravens’ defense will bring a challenge, but the Bengals should let Burrow pretty loose. Ja’Marr Chase is supposed to return for the game as well, giving him one of his best receivers. If he can play like he did to open the season, the Bengals’ receiving core should have a great outing.

Chase Brown has been another fantastic name. Although we would expect the Bengals to run about the same as they have been doing, the Ravens’ defense has been stingy. Brown is definitely a start this week, but his overall production compared to the last few weeks could decline.

    Bottom Line

The Bengals need a win, and they need it badly if they want to make the playoffs. Joe Burrow is back. It’s Thanksgiving against the Ravens. Everything seems to be in front of them. If they want to survive and keep pushing for a playoff spot, they need their quarterback. They’ve got him. Now the only question is how he will play after 11 weeks on the sidelines.
