‘All black like a funeral?’: Fans react as Joe Burrow dresses up in chic gameday outfit for Bengals-Cardinals matchup

There’s not much left to play for this season for quarterback Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have been eliminated from playoff contention since Week 15, and they currently have a 5-10 record.

The Bengals are set to play the Arizona Cardinals in a few hours at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. Hours before the home game, Burrow showed up at the stadium wearing an all-black outfit that prompted responses from fans.

The quarterback is also known for his stylish gameday outfits. He often walks the tunnel wearing an outfit that makes people notice his style. This time, considering where the Bengals are right now, fans had some funny reactions as well.

“All black like a funeral?” a fan asked.

“hope you brought snacks because that arrival is about to be a wild ride!” a fan wrote.

“You don’t care about winning so let him go somewhere else,” a fan told the franchise.

“Not sure what he’s planning with the hair growth… but time to visit a barber,” a fan wrote.

“Another meaningless game in the Joe Burrow era. Great job,” a fan wrote.

“Going to be a good game, he’s not dressed goofy,” a fan wrote.

This game doesn’t carry any playoff implications for either side. While the Bengals have been out of the race for three weeks, the Arizona Cardinals have been one of the worst teams this season with a 3-12 record.

So, this will be more about trying to close the season on a good note, and for backup players to get some time on the field.

    Will Joe Burrow Leave Cincinnati?

Burrow has been one of the best quarterbacks in the game for the last several years. Drafted as the first overall pick in 2020, he entered the league with high expectations and was supposed to be an MVP and Super Bowl winner.

So far, he has been to just one Super Bowl in 2021, where they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. With the Bengals’ continued failure, fans have started asking Burrow to leave Cincinnati for a better team. When they recently lost to the Ravens and were eliminated from the playoff race, Burrow spoke about his future.

“It doesn’t change my desire to win,” Burrow said after the game. “If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it. I have been through a lot. If it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for?”

Despite the failure this season, Burrow is committed to finishing the season strong. They will play their final game of the season in Week 18 against the Cleveland Browns.
