JK Dobbins, RJ Harvey, and the Denver Broncos are scheduled to play the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET. While fantasy owners do not need to make most lineup decisions until Sunday night, managers with players in the Thursday night game will need to make some decisions a little early. There is an interesting decision to be made over which Denver Broncos RB to start.
JK Dobbins Fantasy Outlook
JK Dobbins has been the more reliable player for the Broncos this season. He has appeared in all nine of the team’s games, making 135 carries for 695 yards and four TDs. He has two games this season where he has put up 100 yards or more. However, he has struggled to get into the endzone as of late, not scoring a TD since Oct. 5. Regardless of whether he is scoring, he is a consistent threat for the offense and a good RB for most fantasy owners.
RJ Harvey Fantasy Outlook
Rookie RJ Harvey is having a solid rookie season, but it does not compare to what JK Dobbins has done this season. He has 46 carries for 205 yards and two TDs. He has only three games in which he has registered more than 12 yards in a game. However, what is interesting about Harvey is that he is sometimes used as a receiving threat. Against Houston last week, he had five receptions on five targets for 51 yards and a TD.

Those receiving yards add to his fantasy score, making him a more interesting option than his rushing stats indicate.
Verdict
While RJ Harvey is an interesting fantasy player, especially when factoring in his threat as a receiver, he is not a better fantasy option than JK Dobbins. Dobbins is a more reliable player because of his usage in the Broncos’ offense. He gets a higher snap share and is more consistent in his usage. Harvey can sometimes have big games, but they are not worth betting on if you also have a reliable option like JK Dobbins on your roster.
