Weeks After Charlie Kirk Controversy That Almost Led To NFL Chaos, Jimmy Kimmel Makes Feelings Very Clear On Donald Trump

After Disney finally caved in to fan demands, comedian Jimmy Kimmel got his show back and took it on the road to New York City. There, the late night talk show host was a guest at fellow late night comedian Stephen Colbert’s show, “The Late Show,” and gave his first interview since he was suspended and then reinstated.

During his first interview, Kimmel did not hold back on slamming President Donald Trump, who was celebrating the comedian’s suspension but was soon threatening to pursue legal action against ABC after the network reinstated his show after intense public pressure.

“That son of a b**ch. It’s really unbelievable … I never imagined that we’d ever have a President like this and I hope we don’t have another President like this again.” Kimmel told Colbert.

Kimmel, who has been a critic of Donald Trump for years, incorporating the President in monologues during his late night show, was suspended by ABC following comments he made regarding Trump and his reaction to the death of right-wing propagandist Charlie Kirk. Following comments from Trump’s FCC chairman, Brendan Carr, pressuring ABC to censure Kimmel, the comedian was suspended.

What Was the Disney Deal that Was in Danger Because ABC Brought Back Jimmy Kimmel

Back in August, the NFL and the Walt Disney Company agreed that ESPN, which is under Disney, will acquire not just the NFL, but also certain other media assets owned and controlled by the league. This is in exchange for a 10% equity stake in ESPN. However, as Jimmy Kimmel returned to late night, Trump may possibly retaliate against Disney.

The deal would allow ESPN to also own RedZone and NFL Fantasy Football, with the latter merging with ESPN Fantasy Football to create an official Fantasy season-long game of the NFL. The deal will also allow ESPN to license an additional three NFL games to air in the NFL Network every season.
