The San Diego Chargers are fighting to retain their possible spot in the NFL playoffs, but head coach Jim Harbaugh’s daughter, Grace Harbaugh, was not cheering for her father’s team on Sunday; she was cheering for her brother’s. Her big bro, Jay Harbaugh, is the special teams coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, and she was at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to cheer for her brother’s team, which is also fighting to retain its playoff spot.
She was in one of the suites at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and proudly cheered for the Seahawks as they took on the Atlanta Falcons on the road.
“go seahawks! @jayharbaugh,” she wrote in her caption.

The Seahawks ultimately won that game, and in a convincing fashion, as they demolished the Falcons 37-9. Atlanta is now out of the playoff picture, while Seattle retained its No. 5 spot in the playoff race.
As for the team being coached by Grace Harbaugh’s dad, they are on a bye week, so Grace can just go and cheer for her brother’s team instead. The Chargers fell to No. 6 in the AFC after the Buffalo Bills surged to No. 5. Still, they are in contention to make it to the playoffs, barring a late-season collapse.
As for Grace, she would probably be back cheering for the LA Chargers next week as they take on the defending Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. She is a common sight in Chargers games, but she does occasionally go to Seahawks games to cheer for her brother’s team, as seen in the Atlanta game.
Jay Harbaugh Turned Down Offer To Work For Dad, Jim Harbaugh, at LA
Jay Harbaugh has been working as a football coach for years now, previously working under his uncle, John Harbaugh, with the Baltimore Ravens. However, when his dad made the transition back to the NFL to coach the Los Angeles Chargers, he received an offer to work under him. However, the younger Harbaugh declined, choosing to continue working under his uncle with the Ravens.
“I’m in such a good place and working with such good people, I didn’t see any reason to leave,” he explained.
He ultimately moved to Seattle to become the special teams coordinator for the Seahawks, but his family ties with the Ravens and the Chargers are still there.
