“Joe Burrow With Way Less Charm”: Fans Side-Eye Jaxson Dart Over Viral Post Game Interview After Giants Loss Against Patriots

On Monday, the New York Giants lost by a big margin to the New England Patriots, 33-15. The game was another low point in a season full of them, with the now viral image of kicker Younghoe Koo missing a field goal (missing to kick the ball, not failing to put it between the goal posts) becoming the synthesis of everything that has gone wrong this year.

It was in this environment that Jaxson Dart attended the post-game press conference, which went viral on its own. While there was a lot to say about Dart’s response to taking too many risks outside the pocket, some fans instead focused on the quarterback’s attitude during the game.

The criticism was focused on Dart’s mannerisms, not being what fans thought they should be.

“He’s Joe Burrow with way less charm,” wrote one fan

“The clothes, jewelry, handbag, “hair toss” with insufficient hair, the slow-mo OMG… all point to one conclusion – Jaxon Dart is the daughter his mom never knew she had,” joked someone else

“Did that hit knock him clear into another gender 😱,” said a fan, referencing a huge tackle he took during the game

“It’s definitely not giving….masculine. The hair, the turtle neck. Ick. But, hey, to each their own. 🫠,” lamented another fan

“Highschool cheerleader with the boy she likes in the room vibes,” said one fan

Others simply thought he wasn’t the future of the franchise.

“Giants are the new Jets now I don’t make the rules,” claimed someone

Others thought a majority of fans were making a whole lot out of nothing.

“He fixed his hair doing a press conference..who gives a shit, at least he cares. You guys are a bunch of weirdo’s,” wrote one person

Jaxson Dart on Receiving Big Hits While Taking Risks Outside the Pocket

During the postgame press conference, Jaxson Dart was pressed about the fact that he seemed to be taking too many risks outside the pocket. Particularly, he was asked about an incident in which he was pushed off the field by New England Patriots linebacker Christian Elliss rather forcefully.

Dart didn’t see any problem with the situation:

“No, look, I understand the question, but this is football,” Dart said. “I’m going to get hit if I’m in the pocket or outside the pocket. I feel like I played this way my whole entire life. It shouldn’t be any shocker to anybody if you followed along with my career.”

“We’re not playing soccer out here. You’re going to get hit. Things happen. It’s just part of the game.”

While it’s true that, since his Ole Miss days, Dart hasn’t been afraid to make plays with his feet, one has to wonder about the rationale of taking such risks in a game the Giants had already clearly lost in the middle of the season they’re having.
