“Kind of Makes Me Uncomfortable”: Jason Whitlock Rips Kendrick Perkins Over Profanity-Filled Take on Shedeur Sanders

Former Boston Celtics center Kendrick Perkins recently showered praises on Shedeur Sanders on Instagram, showering praises on the Cleveland Browns quarterback whilst comparing him to former US president Barack Obama.

Perkins stated how Shedeur Sanders is one of the most powerful Black people he’s come across ever since President Obama got elected back in 2009.

“Shedeur Sanders is the most powerful black man since 2009. You know what happened in 2009? That’s when President (Barack) Obama got elected in office”, Perkins stated.

“He’s the most powerful black man in sports. As a matter of fact, he’s the most powerful player in sports”, he further elaborated.

Perkins’ statements not only come on the backdrop of Sanders’ recent performance against the Raiders but also his off-field behavior. Perkins highlighted how Shedeur has a balance of arrogance and humility, further praising his work in uplifting and bringing the Black community together.

Jason Whitlock, while reacting to Perkins’ clip on the latest episode of his show “Fearless,” had an issue with Perkins’ way of conveying praise due to excessive use of profanity and expletives.

Whitlock pointed out that every sentence of Perkins’ clip was laced with swear words and profanity, making him feel uncomfortable.

“This seems like every sentence has to be punctuated with a love of profanity that just kinda makes me uncomfortable”, Whitlock stated (17:04)

He also acknowledged that he used to cuss back in the day, but stopped eventually and surprisingly got interesting feedback from people saying he needs to swear more often. Whitlock suggested that people swear under the garb of being authentic.

“I used to love to cuss. And then i have eliminated it. People have told me its a mistake and that i need to be more profane because that signals a level of authenticity that the digital space rewards”, whitlock explained (17:33)

Whitlock also acknowledged that he agrees with a lot of the points that Perkins made while speaking about Sanders, but his use of words is hard to overlook.

Whitlock calls out Deshaun Watson For Taking Vegas Trip With Shedeur Sanders

Cleveland quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders were recently seen taking a Vegas road trip ahead of Sanders’ first NFL start against the Raiders.

This prompted Jason Whitlock to call out DeShaun Watson, questioning his intentions behind the trip with a call back to Watson’s alleged sexual misconduct back in 2021.

“Free trip to Vegas. Anyone shocked Deshaun took this trip does not know Deshaun. What happens in Vegas massage parlors stays in Vegas,” Whitlock posted on X.

Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders’ first NFL start against the Raiders was one to remember as the rookie quarterback completed 11 out of 20 passes while also running 209 yards and scoring a touchdown, helping his side clinch a 24-10 victory over the Vegas-based franchise.

Shedeur’s performance was so impressive that he is now touted to start the Browns’ next game against the 49ers despite Dillon Gabriel’s successful recovery from a concussion injury.
