Sports commentator Jason Whitlock shared his take on Candace Owens’ upcoming showdown against the late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA as she accused the organization of covering up critical details, financial irregularities, and even possible betrayal by people close to Kirk.
Ever since Kirk died after being shot at Utah Valley University, the national spotlight has been on his organization. After Owens’ accusation, TPUSA challenged her to a live, on-camera showdown. Owens accepted the challenge immediately.
Ahead of this highly anticipated showdown at TPUSA’s studio in Phoenix, Whitlock hailed the organization for running a clean ship and taking their detractors head-on. He wrote on X:
“Charlie Kirk built TPUSA. The organization he built and the people he trusted to help him run it are being publicly questioned by Candace. They have every right to respond publicly and their strategy of inviting Candace is sound. We want transparency from our institutions. TPUSA made a step toward providing that transparency. Good for them.”

TPUSA Reveals Reason For Challenging Candace Owens For Live Showdown
Candace Owens has made big claims accusing people close to Charlie Kirk following his assassination. She wrote on X:
“I received information last night that put the final pieces together for me. I now can say with full confidence that I believe Charlie Kirk was betrayed by the leadership of Turning Point USA and some of the very people who eulogized him on stage. Yes I will be naming names and providing evidence for my claims. And I am making a personal plea to every well-meaning person who donated to this Godforsaken organization to request a refund. You were lied to. And leadership knew.”

These startling claims elicited a strong response from the organization. On December 4, TPUSA, via host Blake Neff, rejected Owens and extended an invitation for a showdown. They made it known that they are only doing it to keep Kirk’s legacy and faith alive. Neff said:
“Our motivation for doing this out of any obligation to Candace. It is about honoring Charlie. We feel a deep responsibility to protect his legacy and the truth. I feel that – I owe Charlie everything in my life… And that is why we feel compelled to speak clearly and openly now.”
Meanwhile, Candace Owens has teased that she won’t mind if TPUSA earns something out of this conversation, as it is something that the entire country wants to watch. She also teased that she would bring evidence with her and reveal names behind her claims.
