Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is in the middle of a fantastic season, but he wasn’t named among the quarterbacks for the Pro Bowl games. Despite throwing 4,036 yards with 32 TDs and just five interceptions in the ongoing regular season, Goff was snubbed.
Instead, Seattle Seahawks’ Sam Darnold, Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Dak Prescott and LA Rams’ Matthew Stafford were selected from the National Football Conference. Meanwhile, for the American Football Conference, Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen, LA Chargers’ Justin Herbert and New England Patriots’ Drake Maye were the selected signal-callers for the Pro Bowl games.

“Sam Darnold over Goff is unbelievable lol. 23 TDs 14 Picks 3700 yards compared to 32-5-4036,” another fan commented.
“Pro Bowl voting always tells you who fans like, not who actually deserves it,” one fan wrote.
“Doesn’t Darnold lead the league in interceptions? 😂” one fan asked.
“Justin Herbert? Really? He threw for 81 yards against the Jags,” one fan wrote.
“This shows that fans should not be allowed to vote on the Pro Bowl. 🥴🥴” one fan added.
Five Jared Goff’s Lions Teammates Selected to the Pro Bowl Roster
While Jared Goff didn’t make the list, the Lions will be represented by five of his teammates at the Pro Bowl games. The Lions players selected directly to the Pro Bowl include:
- Jahmyr Gibbs
- Amon-Ra St. Brown
- Penei Sewell
- Aidan Hutchinson
- Jack “J.J.” Campbell
Goff is an alternate on the 2026 Pro Bowl roster, meaning he wasn’t one of the official selections at quarterback and would only go if another QB pulls out.
Pro Bowl rosters are determined considering fan voting, player voting, and coaches’ selections. This almost always results in controversial selection,s like in this case, where Goff couldn’t make it through despite having an outstanding season.
The 2026 Pro Bowl Games will be played on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Moscone Center, San Francisco, California, during Super Bowl LX week.
