James Cook joined the list of injured players this weekend. During the Bills’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend, the running back suffered an ankle injury. However, he battled through it and carried the ball a career-high 27 times in the victory.

He has now missed practice this Wednesday, ostensibly because of the injury. However, Sean McDermott’s comments to reporters the same day didn’t offer many details:
“Came up during the game,” McDermott told reporters of Cook’s injury ahead of practice on Nov. 5. “Just sore in the last couple of days.”
Why is James Cook Questionable?
Due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend. However, he was eventually able to return to the field and carry the ball a career high 27 times in a single game, recording 114 rushing yards but scoring no touchdowns.
Is James Cook Playing This Week?
He should be able to play. The injury was minor enough to allow him to have a career-defining performance on Sunday against a serious opponent like the Kansas City Chiefs. Sean McDermott’s comments on Wednesday seem to imply the issue is minor and that he missed practice out of an abundance of caution.
James Cook will likely be fine but if/when he ever misses Ray Davis is the guy you want. Tweeting again because I just saw what I believe to be a very bad take on my TL.
Ray Davis was outsnapped by Ty Johnson last season too. We all thought Ty Johnson was the play in Week 6 last…

James Cook Fantasy Outlook
If you have him on your fantasy roster, we would advise you to monitor the issue, but it seems highly likely he will play on Sunday. Also, last week’s performance demonstrates that whatever ankle issue he had wasn’t enough to stop him on the field, so performance isn’t a concern either. If you want an ace in your hole, look to get Ray Davis, the Bills’ RB2, who will see significant action if Cook doesn’t play.
