Ja’Marr Chase’s Surprising Response To Jalen Ramsey Spitting Controversy Sets Fans Abuzz: “Wonder How Much He Paid The Refs”

The Cincinnati Bengals’ disappointing 34-12 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers took an ugly turn when Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase supposedly spat on Steelers’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey in an on-pitch altercation.

Chase, meanwhile, in a post-game conference, denied the claim that he ever opened his mouth in front of Chase.

This prompted a lot of fans to call out Chase’s action on X, with most comments calling him a blatant liar

“I wonder how much he paid the refs to not eject him”, stated a fan.

“He’s simply calling Ramsey a nobody”, said a fan.

“Suspend that fraud lier”, commented a fan.

“Does he know it was on TV?”, remarked a fan.

“He is a sore loser and a LIAR! No respect for liars!”, stated another fan.

“We saw it! How is he gonna lie when there are 60385940 cameras all over the field?!”, called out another fan.

“One thing that’s worse than a spitter, is a spit denier, said another fan.

When asked directly about the spitting allegations, Chase insisted that he did not spit on Ramsey, stating:

    “I ain’t spit on nobody.”

Chase explained that the confrontation stemmed from escalating verbal exchanges throughout the game, also noting that Ramsey didn’t like some of the words. He also added that they had been going back and forth the entire time, and something got under Ramsey’s skin.

Ramsey Calls Out Chase After Alleged Spitting Incident

Ja’Marr Chase and Jalen Ramsey’s heated altercation also resulted in Ramsey’s ejection from the game. This was in the backdrop of Ramsey throwing a punch at Chase, possibly a reaction to Chase spitting on Ramsey.

When asked if spitting is one of the most disrespectful things someone can do, Ramsey didn’t hold back, stating:

“It is. It’s what pussies do, quite honestly,” the cornerback stated.

According to NFL insider Johnathan Jones, the NFL will investigate the entire debacle while also determining if Ramsey was the aggressor or if he acted in self-defense.

Jones opined that if Ramsey is found not to be the aggressor, he won’t be fined and Chase will be suspended for one game.
